Patented SKF? compact linear motion bearings promote reliable and long service life in linear guidance systems and can serve ideally where available space for components may be minimal. Their recirculating balls reduce friction and provide unlimited stroke to deliver optimized performance. Sealed and stainless versions expand options for users.

These compact Type LBBR linear motion skf bearings feature plastic cages carrying hardened steel raceway segments and guiding the ball sets. The cage design allows balls to run on the same pitch circle diameter for smooth ball recirculation without cage loads. The cage can accommodate maximized ball diameters to achieve higher load capacity, enhanced running quality, and extended service life. Longer raceway segments further contribute to load-bearing capacity.Standard shaft diameters for these bearings range from 3mm to 50mm and dynamic load ratings range from 60N to 6950N.

Bearings can be fitted with integral double-lip seals to help retain lubricant and protect against contamination. Seals consist of an inner lip that prevents lubricant from escaping within the bearing and an external lip that wipes the shaft surface as the bearing moves. The unsealed bearing is fitted with non-contacting shields serving to exclude coarser debris.

Where corrosion-resistance is desired, ntn bearings can be specified with raceway segments and balls manufactured from high-alloy stainless steel. Combined with SKF stainless shafts, all-stainless designs can be realized. Custom designs can broaden solutions for particular applications.
